Abstrak

Lanskap bisnis modern, termasuk industri asuransi, menuntut kepemimpinan yang efektif untuk menavigasi dinamika interpersonal yang kompleks, terutama ketika bekerja dengan Gen Z sebagai generasi terbaru yang memasuki tempat kerja. Karyawan Gen Z, dengan harapan dan gaya komunikasi mereka yang unik, mencari pemimpin yang menawarkan transparansi, keaslian, dan koneksi emosional. Studi ini mengeksplorasi peran signifikan kecerdasan emosional (EI) dalam mencapai keberhasilan kepemimpinan di dalam perusahaan asuransi. Kecerdasan emosional semakin diakui sebagai faktor kunci dalam efektivitas kepemimpinan, memengaruhi bagaimana pemimpin membangun hubungan, membuat keputusan strategis, dan menginspirasi tim mereka. Mengingat sifat kompetitif industri asuransi dan kemajuannya dalam teknologi, pemimpin harus mampu mengelola tenaga kerja multigenerasi dengan cakap dan beradaptasi dengan tantangan baru. Penelitian kualitatif ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana pemimpin asuransi memanfaatkan EI untuk melibatkan Generasi Z, yang memprioritaskan keragaman, kolaborasi, dan kepemimpinan yang fleksibel. Dengan memahami preferensi komunikasi unik Generasi Z, pemimpin yang cerdas emosional meningkatkan kinerja organisasi dan kepuasan karyawan. Berdasarkan literatur terkini dan wawancara dengan pemimpin dari perusahaan asuransi di Indonesia, studi ini menemukan bahwa pemimpin dengan kecerdasan emosional tinggi secara signifikan meningkatkan keterlibatan karyawan, kepuasan, dan produktivitas. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya mengintegrasikan kecerdasan emosional ke dalam praktik kepemimpinan untuk memastikan ketahanan dan daya saing di pasar, yang menguntungkan organisasi dengan menjembatani kesenjangan generasi dan memberdayakan karyawan Gen Z.

Winda Dwiastuti, LSPR Communication and Business Institute

Winda Dwiastuti is a high-power public speaker who launched her career at the age of 15 and possesses over a decade of experience. Winda has excelled as a Corporate Communication Manager at kumparan. She also actively tutors Communication Practices in LSPR and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Communication Studies with a focus on Business and Communication Management. Winda's exceptional achievements include being honored as the Best of The Best Graduate for e-learning Programme from the London School of Public Relations (LSPR) Institute of Communication and Business in 2022, and being chosen as the Graduate Representative from Universitas Indonesia in 2017.

Yulinda Basir, LSPR Communication and Business Institute

Yulinda Basir is a Public Relations graduate from Padjajaran University, Bandung. She is currently pursuing further studies at the Institute Bisnis dan Komunikasi LSPR, while also serving as the Head of the Client Relations Center in Prudential Indonesia. She held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Financial Industry Contact Center Forum-OJK (2019-2021) and served as a Secretary for an OJK insurance industry working group in 2017. Her unwavering commitment to community enrichment is evident in her continuous facilitation of a financial literacy program for women in Prudential Indonesia. She also actively champions the Syariah Social Responsibility Program in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa.

Rino Febrianno Boer, LSPR Communication and Business Institute

Dr. Rino Febrianno Boer have Doctoral degree from the University of Indonesia in the field of Communication Studies after get Masters in Management (MM) from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. He has two bachelor degrees, first from the Faculty of Economics (SE), Parahyangan Catholic University, and the Faculty of Law (SH), Padjadjaran University, Bandung. Currently has position as Director of the Postgraduate Program at LSPR Institute of Communication and Business. Several academic works he has been published as journal articles: “Reputation communication of online companies” (2018) “Manajemen krisis PR dalam menangani penolakan imunisasi measles rubella” (2020; “Cross cultural adaptation process of Japanese expatriates in Indonesia” (2021) etc. Aside of the book published “Menyelisik media sosial: Kajian persuasi & konsumsi generasi millenial” (2021), and the book chapter “Etika dan Komunikasi Organisasi” (2021); Public Relations (2020); Pengantar Ilmu Komunikasi (2022)
